Gramo's annual meeting
On Monday, June 5, Gramo's annual meeting was held at Popsenteret in Oslo. The meeting was conducted with a hybrid solution, where registered members could either be physically present or participate digitally. Our supplier, Playroom, ensured that the annual meeting was organized and carried out in a good way.
The meeting was opened by Gramo's Chairman of the Board, Cathrine Nagell, who also introduced Gramo's new CEO, Kim Skarning Andersen, who started on March 1. Andersen also presented the key figures in the annual accounts for 2022, which show another year of record results for Gramo. The main points from the annual report were also reviewed, including the transparency report in line with the Act on Collective Management, etc. You can find the transparency report and annual report here
In addition to approving the annual accounts, transparency report and the board's annual report, the annual meeting also adopted general principles for the distribution of remuneration to rights holders, investment and risk management strategy and the distribution of non-distributable funds (collective funds) for the performer and producer sectors respectively. In the performer sector, separate proposals were submitted by Creo and GramArt, which were presented and voted on. The proposal from GramArt received a majority of votes from those entitled to vote in the performer sector.
The nomination committee's proposal for a new Gramo board was also presented and was then unanimously elected by the annual meeting:
Independent chairman:
Cathrine Nagell with deputy Nils Petter Hansson
Performers' rights holder group:
Hans Ole Rian with deputy Ingvild Andrea Tellmann (CREO)
Daniel Nordgaard with deputy Ivar S. Peersen (Gramart)
Marius Øvrebø-Engemoen with deputy Anne Lise Frøkedal (Gramart)
Producers' rights holder group:
Marte Thorsby with deputy Lena Midtveit (IFPI)
Eddie Nygren with deputy Ivar Noer (IFPI)
Anne Mette Hårdnes with deputy Erlend Gjerde (FONO)
The Annual General Meeting was also unanimous in the election of the Nomination Committee and state-authorized public accountant.
Members also have the opportunity to submit proposals for items for consideration at the annual meeting. This year, one proposal was submitted, which was related to the protection of affiliation after Brexit. After the proposal was presented and discussed, the matter was forwarded to the Gramo board without further consideration.
We thank all the members who attended the annual meeting!
