ISRC

International Standard Recording Code

ISRC is a unique identification code

It is used to identify audio recordings and music video recordings, making it easier to track where and when they are used.

The code consists of 12 digits.

The first seven characters are predetermined and consists of registrant code and year. The last five digits are optional.

How does the ISRC work?

You can only get the registrant code from Gramo or others authorized to assign codes, you cannot make one yourself. You do not have to be a member of Gramo to be assigned a registrant code and ISRC.
