
EUR 178 million across borders
Last year, EUR 178 million for artists and musicians was exchanged between Gramo organizations internationally. A total of EUR 880 million was collected in remuneration. This is an increase of 10 percent from the previous year.
These figures are presented in SCAPR's executive report 2023.
Gramo collects, distributes and pays royalties for music and other sound recordings used in broadcasting and performance in shops, hotels, restaurants and the like. The report shows that these areas account for 30.7 and 26.9 percent of the total, respectively.

What is SCAPR?
SCAPR (Societies Council for the Administration of Performers Rights) is a non-profit, international organization that works to coordinate remuneration payments across national borders. The organization is located in Brussels and also engages in topics such as how artificial intelligence can affect performers' rights.
Gramo is a member
Gramo is a member of SCAPR together with similar organizations in 41 other countries. Gramo actively participates in working groups in SCAPR as part of streamlining the practical and technical work in connection with the exchange of royalties.
Organization for producers
For producers of sound recordings, Gramo is a member of PRC (Performance Rights Committee), which is part of IFPI (International Federation of Phonographic Industry).

Gramo's annual meeting was held on June 2, 2026 in the new premises at Kongens gate 12. It was also possible to participate digitally. The annual meeting brought together members from both the performer and producer groups, and discussed, among other things, the annual accounts, transparency report, elections and central principles for Gramo's activities.

Astrid S was the most played lead artist on Norwegian radio in 2025, with 1,938 hours of playing time spread across 56 recordings. Behind her are a number of international names on the top list; Alex Warren, Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga and Sabrina Carpenter.
